disneyland's 2nd annual half marathon-labor day

We left our house at 4am to get to Disneyland before the roads closed at 5am. It was so early. Runners were gathering in their corrals before the marathon started at 6am. Your corral is based on your previous running records.

Before the half marathon started. It was 5am, still dark and already at least 80 degrees.

The Monorail drove over to the start line and kids waving flags were in it.

Running from California Adventure to Disneyland, then on the road to the Honda Center, through Angel Stadium and back to California Adventure and finish just past Downtown Disney (13.1 miles).

Water anyone??? Last stop before they hit the road. It's a very hot day.

Okay guys, an hour has passed and I finished my Iced Latte and we are waiting patiently. You can show up anytime! (jeff's contribution to the blog)

Jr. ran so fast we only caught a glimpse of him near the finish line. Hey, Jr., what happened to your shirt? Glad to see you didn't lose those fancy socks! Hurry up, you can beat the 2-hour mark!

Yeah, they finished and survived the heat. Congratulations!!! Those medals are so nice...
