disneyland day

Jeff is off today so we decided to spend the day at Disneyland. The new Finding Nemo submarine ride opened on June 11th so we wanted to check that out. We heard the wait could be any where from 2-3 hours. Wish us luck.

First stop is lunch at Cafe Orleans. Of course we were running late and had to change our reservations to a half hour later. We got a really nice table under a big tree with lots of shade. The only problem was I was afraid the whole time a bird would poop on me or my food. In the end all turned out well and our lunch was good as usual.

I had the Monte Cristo. It is a deep fried sandwich with ham, turkey and Swiss cheese. Very yummy and fattening too. Yes, that is powdered sugar on it. Believe it or not it is really good. Luckily we shared it. Also comes with some jam to dip into but Jeff doesn't like it.

Jeff had the Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad. It was pretty good but nothing special. At least we got some veggies for the day.

After lunch we went to Aladdin & Jasmine's StoryTale Adventures. We have never seen this before. Even though there were seats closer we choose to sit in the very back where it was nice and shady. The story telling was very funny and pretty good.

All-American College Band.
The best musicians from all over the country.

We are finally here at the end of the Finding Nemo line. The sign said the wait is 90 minutes so we joined the qeue. The wait was not too bad and it was fun to look forward to the next umbrella and the shade!!! Our total wait time was 1 hour 15 minutes.

The sub's are back!!! They have been gone since 1997.

Even the monorail looked like the submarines.

Getting closer. I am so excited.

Yeah! That's me getting on the ride. It was cute but not sure it's worth the long wait. We will definitely go on it again. We had a fun and a great day.

Bye!!!

our new garden

It has been 2 years since we planted any new flowers in our garden. It had consisted of dirt, weeds, and some old plants. Last month we decided to buy a few flowers and plant them. Each week after the flowers stayed alive, we bought new ones. Now the garden is starting to look more colorful. We noticed some of our plants getting smaller and smaller but didn't see anything eating them. I checked for snails every day but didn't see any but Jeff put some snail killer out (sorry snails) and now they have gone to heaven.

Jeff working hard!!!
