day 2

The day started off early with the delivery of dumpster #3 and pickup of the full dumpster. The driver was an older guy but he was really good at steering his truck so that the dumpster is in the correct position. It was very interesting watching him. It was also raining in the early morning.

3rd dumpster

It's full and ready to go.

Bye, old kitchen...

Today the soffets were removed. The kitchen finally looks bigger.

This A/C vent will have to be stuffed somewhere in the ceiling along with the wires.

We were thinking about moving the silver vent but it might be too hard. The solution for now is to hide it in the cabinets. We will have to wait for the final engineering on Monday to find out.

You would think there is an easier way to remove tile.

Demolition was scheduled for 2 days. They still have tile in the dinning room, closet, powder room and laundry room to remove. All carpet in living room and stairs. Finally everything in the powder room. I am sort of doubtful they will do all that.

Is upstairs also being remodeled?

NO, but next year we will remodel the two bathrooms and get new windows. That's it. Then we plan on buying a fixer and doing it all over again. It's so much fun. Next time we will stay in a hotel. The dust is horrible...

I was glad to see your beautiful chandelier still shining brightly--it's about all that's left! Thanks for the pictures. It's fascinating to watch this happen.
